About

Mr. G started playing piano at age 4, studying with his mother who taught piano lessons from their home. At age 6, he began studying classical cello, then jazz and rock bass at age 14 and bluegrass guitar and mandolin at age 16. After graduating with a degree in music education, he pursued a career in finance. Nevertheless, he remains passionate about teaching music. In 2017, he joined the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (GRAMMY Awards) and helped form the GRAMMY Music Education Coalition. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, and previously taught at Yeshiva University in New York City and Southern Illinois University, where he lectured on classical cello.
